I’m Kitty. I’ve been around internet fandom since around 2000, but I only really started having a presence around last year.

My interests revolve mainly around Japan, world history, older shoujo manga, and pre 1950’s literature. Classics and Boys’ Own books are all my forte, as are a few underground comics. I adore hierarchies and boarding school/military settings, and uniforms are some of my favourite things in the world. I also really love history!

Most of what I write is shorter works of fiction, 300-1000 words long, though I’ve been known to write longer works. You’ll also find the occasional cultural/historical tidbit hanging around this blog, alongside links to interesting recipes and articles.

Current fandoms are Donna Barr comics (Desert Peach + Stinz). I'm not as much of a gamer as I used to be, but I still enjoy some select RPGs like the Persona series or Pokemon.

I tend to write shorter fics too...and am aiming to write at least one longfic this year. Last year I wrote one a little over 8k, this year I'm aiming for 10k. Good luck on your writing :)

Interesting! What older shoujo manga do you like? I don't think I've read any shoujo, although I've read one of the Korean equivalent (Bride of the Water God, which I love intensely).

Hi, I like your fanfictions! Enemy at the Door seems really interesting, I'll have to watch it sometime. Have you ever watched It Happened Here? It's an alternate history film that's about what a Nazi-occupied Britain would be like.

I also share your interest in boarding schools/military settings, despite never having any experiences in them. Uniforms are also a fascination of mine.
