Hi, dear writer! Thank you for writing for me!
Enemy at the Door
What is this: A low-budget, well acted TV drama about the lesser-known occupation of the British Channel Islands by Nazi Germany during WWII. Mood is serious, sombre, and the drama is very low-key, made even more tragic by the fact that the Germans are largely given a three-dimensional portrayal. The story chronicles officers and islanders living in a tentative, easily-shattered peace.
Erich Müller/Klaus Reinicke
Reinicke has his moments where he comes off as gay-but-extremely-closeted. We know that he likes riding with General Müller. General Müller knows that Reinicke likes riding with General Müller. So give me all the pining and UST. Reinicke telling himself that he’s only out to get dirt on Müller, while secretly enjoying Müller’s approval/attention/comapny. Müller perhaps noticing the Haubtstürmführer’s longing gazes and doing his best to discourage the whole matter, or use it against Reinicke in some chessmaster-y way.
Dieter Richter/Philip Martel
Richter and Martel have a friendship, of sorts. They’re the kind of people who might be good friends, had they met under different circumstances. Unfortunately, the situation is what it is, which makes them even more shippable from my POV. Cold winter mornings interspersed with coffee and banter? Two people desperately trying to keep things platonic, despite being increasingly tempted?
Canon-specific DNW: Ethnicity kink, explicit focus on war crimes/crimes against humanity(Mentioning them in passing is fine, writing a detailed paragraph is not), black SS uniforms.
Colditz
What is this: A show about an allied POW camp for escape artists. Episodes are mainly dramatic and thriller-y, focusing on escape attempts and other dilemmas. Based largely on real-life events.
Carrington/McDonald
Token American bonding with the man promoted from the ranks? Aww. Give me the fix-it where McDonald just gets severely injured instead of killed, and Carrington stays by his side until he’s well enough to mail that break-up letter. Hospital vigils deeply appreciated, as is wound-dressing, sharing books, or pining while waiting for McDonald to get off of the rebound. Carrington needs a friend, and McDonald needs someone who sees him for what he is, and not just ’barely articulate’.
Biggles series
What is this: A series of Boy's Own novels about two pilots: The titular 'Biggles' and his cousin, 'Algy'. Most stories are daredevil aeroplane schemes, though the WWI books are generally agreed to be fairly realistic stories based on the author's time in the RFC.
I’d strongly prefer the WWI or interwar setting for this! Feel free to go as dark as you wish with the barely-out-of-school officers, copious drinking, and general recklessness in regards to life. Consummation isn’t necessary - Kisses are great and appreciated, but so is very romantic UST and prolonged pining. Emotional intimacy, hand-holding, and young love is all deeply wanted for!
Plane battles are highly appreciated, but far from mandatory.
Algy/Biggles
-Biggles is continuously hinted at to Not Be OK during the course of the books, with the flight nerves and dependence on lemonade (Note: Not actually lemonade). Algy seems to be the type who would notice. Or maybe notice-without-really-noticing and try to care for Biggles despite not having much experience himself.
-Algy growing jealous after Marie? Or Biggles growing jealous at Algy getting attention from some girl. Or another man. Either way, one or both of them coming to terms with feelings that are probably not very proper or useful, as long as there’s a happy ending to it.
Mark Way/Biggles
Biggles flies to Australia. Give me a ridiculous interwar Biggles plot where the two work together down under. Spying in the bush, confusing slang, and all the Boys’ Own stories. Maybe even meeting Mark’s folks (If you want to give him Maori ancestry in whatever way the period allows for, that would be perfectly fine by me)? If you want to use the romantic Australian beaches to facilitate kissing, that’s fine, too.
Canon-specific DNW: Smut. Fade-to-black and/or being very vague about the process is fine.
Stalky & Co
What is this: Victorian boarding school novel about three outcasts who are not interested in any fancy-pants school tradition, and mercilessly send up the whole genre of boarding school novels by sticking together and sticking it to authority. Based on the author's childhood.
OMC/Stalky
M'Turk/Stalky
Look, there isn’t enough awkward teenage crushes going on in this book. Stalky is just the type of person who should go through a High Victorian version of in-betweener adventures while trying to make his feelings known. Possibly through stupid schemes that are doomed to fail, or something that ends up falling apart but is successful in a different sense.
What I love about this book is how relatable a portrait it is of young boys at school, despite being set in a lost world completely alien to most readers. So feel free to heap any obscure Victorian porn, poetry, opera, or other tidbits of the period into this request.
Canon-specific DNW: Cruelty to cats.
The Ninth Configuration
What is this: A two-hour movie psychological thriller about a US military hospital, and the relationship between the new psychologist and one of his patients, an ex-astronaut who failed to launch. Is set in the same universe as 'The Exorcist'.
(Note: Has explicitly Christian themes.)
Doctor-patient sessions with oceans of UST! Kane caring for Cutshaw during one of his low points, perhaps culminating in fireman carries or other physical activities with touching. Or Cutshaw testing Kane’s boundaries and making him 'snap' in unexpected, exciting ways.
Beetle Bailey
What is this: A newspaper comic set in a military camp.
Lt. Fuzz/Lt. Flap
Lookit them! They’re cute. Fuzz is the overenthusiastic young officer straight from an affluent school, Flap is from a humbler environment, is slightly older, and probably made it up through the ranks. He’s also much less of a dork. Fuzz probably looks to him for advice at times. They would make a great friends-to-lovers ship! Fuzz being homesick? Flap teaching Fuzz how to dress for a night outside of the Ivy League and eventually getting jealous of the attention he’s getting? Or the two get locked up in a closet somewhere, or stranded on an island, or whatever weirdness happens in Basic Training.
Army shenanigans and crazy schemes would be deeply appreciated for this ship.
Canon-specific DNW: Extreme homophobia. Parents not-really-approving-at-first-but-coming-round is fine, kicking out family members is not.

Desert Peach
Jeff Holtz/Kjars Winzig
What is this: A gay colonel looking after men unfit to fight for Germany in the North African theatre. Runs a grave-digging unit. Engaged to a Luftwaffe officer. Yes, really.
Jeff Holtz/Kjars Winzig
They share a tent. They bicker like a married couple. They have at least several shippy moments and clearly need to kiss at some point, be it by some shenanigans-related fluke, or by the magic of late-night booze. Or just a spin-the-bottle game gone wrong.
Rosen Kavalier/Pfirsich Rommel
I know this sign-up is for slash and this is much more canon than most slash, but just look at their chemistry. I'd love to see them trying to solve something together, rather than just bickering cutely. Of course, I don't mind if they're bickering cutely while trying to save the unit or not crash a plane or even raise Hans.
Udo Schmidt/Kjars Winzig
Hate-ship if there ever was one! Fighting is what they do, so anything where they're either reluctantly working together, to actively throwing stuff at each other. Something where one of them get hurt 'for real'? Accidentally being pushed together in enemy territory?
Canon-specific DNW: Anything to do with Udo being sent to Siberia (unless it's a fix-it where that doesn't happen), SS uniforms on nominated characters.

DNW: Trans headcanons, AUs*, modern politics/attitudes in historical fandoms** Modern mental health terminology(I don't mind if a character is written as having X or Y, but I would prefer not having it named or diagnosed, unless it is referred to in a period-specific way such as ‘Shell-Shock’) Homo/transphobia/sexism-free AU, Major character death, ethnicity-based kink, heavy BDSM, Xeno***, PWP**** holocaust denial/Intentional propagation of neo-nazi myth, clean Wehrmacht.
*Canon divergence is fine!
**IE Characters being unrealistically accepting of homosexuality, not conforming to gender roles, being openly socialist in the 16th century, etc(Unless already established in canon).
***I love human/non-human relationships, especially with culture clashes! The sexy part just isn't my thing. Sensual touching of human parts is fine, vauge implied sex scenes without details are great, so is fade-to-black
****Smut as part of a story is fine and out-right wished for! Just don't make it the entire fic.
