I finally have a Nintendo Switch.

It's still really large. I'm impressed that the Switch seems to be Nintendo's new handheld - Nintendo has always been high on the user-friendly over function, but the situations appear reversed for this and the PSVita. Clunky as the dear thing is, the Vita fits more smoothly into a pocket, and feels sturdier overall. In comparison, the Switch doesn't even have a camera. Which is a shame, since the camera opens possibilities for custom backgrounds.

In exchange, it provides us with a screenshot button. Nintendo knows her audience well - They're the kind of people interested in putting achievements and cute moments on social media. It also gives us a touchscreen and buttons that are less intuitive than the Vita's, by virtue of being shorter. Luckily, the D-pad makes it easy to avoid blunders when inputting passwords.

There are absolutely no themes to be found in the eshop, nor any customisation beyond selecting a black or a white theme for the home screen.

It also seems as if connecting games to each other over wi-fi is going to be impossible unless one pays up. Ugh. I understand massive multiplayer or hooking up more than two people, but this is a massive disservice to those of us who only occasionally need/want to trade or battle. Way to alienate the casuals.

In other news, Nintendo UK won't allow me to order the Pokemon steelbook from their website, and Nintendo.de refuses to allow me to sign in. Customer service has been contacted.
