Late rec post, now that all the holidays have been dealt with.

Title: A Lover's Embrace
Fandom: Romeo & Juliet (Shakespeare)
Synopsis: Mercutio is in love with Romeo, and he pines.
Pairing: Mercutio —-> Romeo

A lovely, short fic about Mercutio staying by Romeo’s side, through heartache and laughter, and more heartache. The pining in this is intense and very much the focus of the fic, but it delivers in such a sweet, sad way,

Title: Returns
Fandom: Tokyo Babylon (CLAMP)
Synopsis: Hokuto is stuck in a time loop.

Hokuto comes up with a solution to the Seishirou ’problem’. Haunting, but very well grounded in the time and place of 1990’s Japan.

Title: Honest Feeling
Fandom: Code Realize: - Guardian of Rebirth
Pairing: Cardia Beckford/Abraham Van Helsing
Synopsis: Breakfast with the gang.

Short, sweet, and very much in character. The author has everyone down to a T, especially Impey, and Van is adorable in his affections for Cardia, despite the other's teasing.

Title: And if their Wings Burn
Fandom: Desert Peach
Synopsis: Winzig cares for Udo after ’Miki’, and doesn’t really come to terms with his attraction.
Pairing: Winzig —-> Udo, Udo —-> Pfirsich

Pining, confused UST, and the characterisation and dialogue are completely like something out of Barr’s prose.

Features Winzig doing little intimate things like shaving and wound care while trying not to be distracted by Udo’s teasing. Flashbacks to Africa with Winzig and Udo (barely!) managing to co-operate. All shadowed by feelings that none of them know what to do with.
